Simon Says Stamp and Show and Tag Tuesday!

Another double duty challenge piece for Tag Tuesday and Simon Says Stamps and Show. Louise told us no paper for the tag and Simon Says has us going Wendy Vecchi style. So here is my take on both. I cut out my design on a saved cardboard shirt shaper (?) and added double sided adhesive. Cut out the shape with and old pair of DH Levi's and that toped the cardboard. Then with part of the denim, I add again double sided adhesive and there went an old pair of curtains! On the empty spaces, I added glitter. The flowers were then again added to grunge paper to add a little dimension. Yes, it would have been far easier to just ink and stamp on the grunge!!  The window frame and leaves are stamped with "Love" from TH stamps. The bird was punched and stamped! Wow, that sounded pretty violent to me! BTW, my bird Fred turned 23 on the 16th and that is very old for a Patagonia!! The denim house was outlined in a bronze marker. I have never done "Wendy" style and don't have any of her products, so was very far out of my comfort zone with this one.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful evening!

What a wonderful use of recycled items, Terry. I have used shirt boards as well as the gift boxes. This may be out of your comfort zone but it turned out so beautiful. Glad you just stamped and punched non-avian birds. Congrats to the Patagonian! That's an old age for sure.

Terry, your tag is such an incredibly charming solution to the no paper challenge....love the denim birdhouse. Way to be resourceful, just like a bird building a nest. Happy Birthday to Fred, hopefully he had a lovely day doing whatever sweet old(er) birds like to do.
bless you!

Aside from hearing quite a bit this week about Wendy Vecchi I really know nothing of her.

So, while I can not comment on your Vecchi-inspired technique ... I CAN say that I love your beautiful and soft-appearing creation!

... plus ... punched and stamped birdy violence ... too funny ... :)

Oops, thought I had left a comment before. I really do like the way you recycled everything!!! The blue denim is so creative.
