The Bluebird

Hope you all are doing well and having a great finish to summer! It has cooled down here the last few days, but that won't be the case for long! Oh and we did actually receive a little bit of that wet stuff from the heavens!
All stamps used for this tag/card are from Artistic Outpost's "Bluebird" collection, which I recently received and just love.  AO is back in full swing and that means so are the monthly challenges, so check out "Show us your AO Art" challenge for August and join in!
The tag background was an extra from the "marbled paint" background and I added a little crackle, some flicks of paint and stain, text from the Bluebird plate and stenciling using Rays!
After I stamped the bluebird images, I wanted some soft coloring and used Stampin Up chalks and after all finished, shaded around the edges and sprayed with sealer.
I cut out an extra little bluebird to not only carry the sky on his back, but the sentiment.
I so love those birds on a wire, that I had to use them and also stamped them on an inked ribbon. The tag was placed on a card to fit a #10 envelop, which I used the Lattice stencil for the background.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and enjoy the day!

Artistic Outpost stamps: Bluebird
Stampin Up Chalks
Distress Paints, Stains
Distress Inks, Broken China, Fired Brick, Black Soot
Black Archival
Crackle
Stencils, Rays, Lattice

Fantastic tag card TT. Love all the techniques you have used especially the stamped and inked ribbon.

We have just had a shower from the heavens which is our first for a while but it is still hot and sticky here.

Wonderful tag, and glad you had some rain. Wish I could send you some! I watched lots of swallows at the Rhine today, so pretty how they swoop over the fields. Hugs, Valerie

This is beautiful. I like the colours on display and the way you incorporated various stamps from that plate.
I was lucky enough to purchase it as a used stamp set on E-bay last year but (I will whisper this part) I haven't managed to ink it up as yet .... shame on me!
