Lady Butterfly

I bought this butterfly stamps some time ago, because I love the design my Inkadinkadoo.  It was not until I took the picture for uploading that I realized the butterfly body is a lovely fairy lady!  The things you may not notice with older eyes!  The Fashionettes  are playing with embossing at Fashionable Stamping Challenges and as always, stamps and no digi images.  There is always a prize, so stop over and join in with us and not to mention my DT Sisters always have such inspiring art to share!
For the big butterfly, I used clear embossing ink and sprinkled my darker embossing powder in the center and then lightly sprinkled the next color and the glitter color last.  After I heat embossed, I colored in some of the open areas with Stampin Up Markers and then gave a spray of Glimmer Mist.  I did use some designer paper, which I seldom use, but added a few butterflies from a foam stamp I made.  I used contrasting colors of rust and blue.  Added some scallops, colored some paper flowers and added a little shrink butterfly!  All in all this was a fairly quick card and I used up some of my hidden stash!!
Lisa's Sketch
We are also sending Lady Butterfly to visit Lisa and her Bloggers Challenge which is a sketch!  It was actually her sketch challenge that gave me the idea on how to present my dry embossed butterfly!  And while on the subject of Butterflies at Our Creative Corner, it is all about the ever changing Butterfly.  When I look at a butterfly, I see the beauty that can arise from change.
Hope you all are have a great weekend and many thanks for your visit!

Distress Ink:  Broken China, Rusty Hinge
VersaMark Embossing Ink
Stampendous EP:  Garnet, Carnelian, Red Dragon

Hello Terry
I am glad you pointed out the Lady as I did not notice her either!!!!
Wonderful multi-colour embossing on the butterfly, I know it is not the easiest technique to master, but you have done a superb job.

Your card is so pretty, Terry! It's funny that it usually takes me looking at the photo of a project to find something I've forgotten, or seeing something I didn't see before. I'm glad I'm not the only one. LOL
