Grungy Monday on Sunday!

My husband took this week off and so did I for the most part!  We did some things around the house and just goofed off together.  As much as I love this thing with ink, I love my time with my husband more!  However, today had to be GM day, because I don't believe I have missed one CCC or GM and can't start now!  Our most delightful and sweet Linda brought us to Tim's 12 Tags of Christmas, day 7, 2009.  You can view this here and we used masks and paint daubers.  I really stink at the paint dauber thing, really I do.  My Snow Cap always ends up kind of washed out and never white.  I have tried keeping it thicker, letting it dry natural, heat set and it always ends up looking like part of a vintage designer paper.  Maybe the paint is too thin in the bottle, but most likely, I am just dauber incompetent!  All stamps are Mr. Tim's.  For the Santa, I really wanted him to stand out, so did not add any ink other than a little face and hat color.   I am also entering this at Hel's, Sunday Stamper, who is looking for "Pine."
As always, Linda makes our Monday's a fun place to be and for those of us doing this on Sunday, Grungy Monday is tomorrow!  WooHoo!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and that the upcoming week will be amazing!  Thank you for dropping by!

Distress Inks:  Vintage Photo, Spun Sugar, Fired Brick, Forest Moss

This is great and makes me feel very festive. Glad you are having some quality time with hubby, me too.

I know what you mean with white dabbers, it's a bit like white sneakers they only stay white for five minutes!

Gorgeous tag Terry ! Love the teeny Christmas lights

This is a lovely tag. Sounds to me as if you have a dud dabber. I have a couple of white ones and they're wonderfully thick. If all else fails, why not just buy some ordinary acrylic paint and sponge/paint it on? No different!

Such a great tag Terry. I have found that when the dabbers go a bit thin, I dab quite a bit out on a tile, then add some gesso, mix it up and dab to your hearts content.... x

Its not just you Terry I stink at dabber painting too, which is pretty bad for a professional painter! LOL

What a gorgeous tag. Love the colourway on the diagonal and the light bulbs are to die for!
I too have a problem with the dauber and notice that my black is runny and the white is thick!! I cheated though and went for the same stamp as Tim's!!
Thanks for your visit and kind comments.

Terry, such an adorable tag! I smiled when I saw it. Santa looks so cheerful and the way you colored him is perfect. Love the tinsel and light bulbs too. Really puts me in a festive mood.
I have not mastered the paint dabber resist either, just bought a brand new bottle so I can try it again. Looking forward to seeing what you create this week!

Terry, this is fabulous! I wish mine would turn out that great looking. And those little lightbulbs are sooo cute! I usually keep them on a string, and hadn't thought about them as separate pieces. Love that.
