CCC 19 - Extremes and GC74 - Versamark

Linda is taking us to the "Extremes" during our 19th week of A Compendium of Curiosities challenge and so we open our books to page 61! It is hard to believe that we have surpassed the halfway point and I wonder when all is said and done, what will we do? Personally, I don't think Linda can just leave us with nothing to do. I sure hope she is not reading this and getting ready to smack me for starting something!

Mr. Snowman will also go visit the Technique Junkies as we did a "antique glimmer" technique and the wonderful Gingersnappers are having their GC74 - Versamark!

I used my new TH Sizzix snowman die for a mask and of course Distress Inks and I did give it a spray of Glimmer Mists after achieving the colors I wanted. The blues are actually prettier in person! I cut out an extra snowman, because I frankly wanted to give him a fancy hat which was heat embossed. The snowflakes, music sheet, sentiment and 25 stamp are all from Scrolls Work Stamps. After I embossed the snowflakes, I thought about giving them a stained glass look, so colored them with red and green markers. I actually love how they turned out and hope you can see the flakes ok. BTW there is a sale over at Scrolls Work, so go check it out. For every $25 you spend, you receive a $5 rebate and that equals a 20% discount.

Wishing all of you a fabulous week!  Thank you for visiting!

Get tag Terry! Love all the techniques you used!

I've been thinkin' similar thoughts about what was going to happen after we finish the book! Maybe Tim will have a new book so Linda can continue the challenges or maybe Linda will have a book, wouldn't that be awesome? Linda if you are reading this, we LOVE you!

Smack you? More like Hug you for being so kind, Terry! Thank you. We have lots more challenge to do before we're through, but honestly, I can't imagine not doing something Tim-related with my blog friends... So, we'll figure something out. :-)

Meanwhile, I'm going to continue admiring all the gorgeous art I get to see, like your beautiful Christmas tag! It is extremely masked PERFECTION! I love the snowman! I can't wait to get that die-- it's one of my favorite from all Tim's designs, and he looks even more dapper with his fancy hat. Great job, girlfriend!

And to you and Linda H and Cynnie and all the kind and talented people doing the challenges: I love you guys, too!

Ohhhh, I love your snowman with the musical notes. That's just FABULOUS!!!

CuddlyBunny said...

OK, honestly ... a snowman?

Are you freaking brilliant or what? BRILLIANT!

By the way, I've also wondered about what I'll do when the Compendium challenge ends ... maybe we should suggest a Round Robin sort of thing?

You know ... a "use this technique" or "use this product" kind of thing that is hosted each week by a different blogger who is currently participating in the challenges ... not only Linda ... otherwise she might smack BOTH of us. :)
