Rain, Rain!

Hello and Happy New Year! Guess what???? It is raining in sunny Southern California and it is raining big-time! It would be nice to have the lovely rain spread out to avoid flooding and damage, but that is not how it flows and we will take the much needed water!
And speaking of rain, I was inspired to pull out the "Springtime" collection from Artistic Outpost! I used a kraft type paper for my tag background, applied Tim's Rays stencil and inked over that with Hickory Smoke, next I inked over the entire tag with Antique Linen and flicked on some water spots. Wanting a little extra background texture, I applied a Boho Background die cut piece from Our Daily Bread Designs and again applied the Rays stencil and inked over. The "Playing in the Rain" children were stamped in Watering Can Archival as was the sentiment and then fussy cut. Next, just added some embellishments to finish and distressed the the tag.

Thank you for stopping by today, especially considering how MIA I have been. So much to do here, there and everywhere, but I am trying my best to visit all of you wonderful crafty and fabulous bloggers!

Wonderful tag Terry, love how you continued the ray stencil over the die cut on your background! So glad to hear you are finally getting some desperately needed rain in SoCal, hope there isn't too much flooding and that a nice gentle soaking continues for as long as you need it. Wishing you and yours joy in this New Year! Deb xo

Love your background texture on this fun tag. Happy to hear of getting rain, but hoping it eases for no flooding or landslides.

The sunray stencil was a great choice, your background is fantastic with the beautiful die cut and the stenciling over. I just love the image too, it goes so well with the sentiment.

I truly hope you don't get as much rain as us, the flooding here is devastating, so many homes damaged. Keep safe! Hugs, Anne xx

The rain is constant here in Scotland to Terry, so much devastation with the weather all over the world.
Another fab stamped project.

Love how you have the rays over the die-cut texture, and the image looks so perfectly vintage stamped in smoky grey. I'm glad to hear you have some much-needed rain, and I hope it doesn't create the flood chaos that's been going on over here over Christmas. I'm fortunate geographically to have missed the worst of it, but it's been a wet old winter so far...

How pretty- love the kraft and the rain sentiment. Oh- when you move, all of the precipitation will be snow : ) Hope they fill up the water table there and without flooding too.
