Country Roads

Fall is in the Air at Artistic Outpost for this month's Blog Hop as we are all looking forward to season of color and cooler temperatures! For my tag I combined Hayride and Home collections from AO and first stamped the kids using Gathered twigs and then clear embossed, also stamped some wheat in the background, then masked and inked on Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade. Instead of the usually flicks of water, I rubbed ink pads Dusty Concord and Peeled Paint on the craft sheet and misted with water and then flicked it onto the tag. I had planned to add color to the kids, but the more I looked at them, I liked them just the way they are. Well, I can always go back and color them in, right?

I just loved my little AO signs and having the truck carry them on home! The "Welcome Autumn" was stamped using Versamark and clear EP. Then I stamped the "sign post" using Watering Can Archival ink over it, heat set, inked on Distress Antique Lines and Vintage Photo, cut out and removed the embossing. The "Home" sign was done pretty much the same way, but I used the wood grain from the sign post stamp and cut that out.

Added a few die cut Fall leaves, which were inked and veined in the truck bed. That vintage truck was stamped in Coffee Archival, embossed, inked and fussy cut. Cut apart the "Country Roads" sentiment and placed around the kids. Will take my tag and visit Inspiration Journal's, "Fall is in the Air" challenge.
