CC#3C - Distress Watercoloring

Time is flying and I can't believe we are already on challenge #5, page 39 of Tim's book the Compendium of Curiosities III. For this lesson, Linda and friends, have us doing "Distress Watercoloring - Part 1" and you have to have the book to play along and learn the techniques. Oh and don't forget about the prizes given to one lucky winner from Tim and Mario, chosen by the Curiosity Crew. Inspiration Emporium is the fabulous sponsor for this go around and they are so generously offering a $50 store gift voucher. How cool are they?? Speaking of IE, I will also be linking this card to Inspiration Journal's "Christmas in June" and again those sweethearts offer $50 to spend in their store. More coolness!
The Santa is the part of my card that incorporation the Distress Watercoloring technique and the markers I used were Bundled Sage, Barn Door and Spun Sugar. The frame was cut from Tim's Ornate die and inked with Bundled Sage, shaded with Walnut Stain and then I sprinkled clear EP, Antiquities Verdigris and Distress Vintage Photo and heat set. I did mask Santa and colored with Bundled Sage and Antique Linen and then shaded with Walnut Stain.
The background was stenciled and then I used Antique Linen over the entire piece to soften and blend. Added a Christmas word band and we are good to go!

Thank you for visiting and I hope you are having a wonderful summer!

Terry...I can't even THINK about Christmas yet! haha Your card really gets me in the holiday spirit, though. I love your coloring for Tim's vintage Santa stamp and how you've placed the ornate frame die cut around it. Very pretty! I also love your holly background. So festive! Thanks for sharing your card with us at CC3C. <3 Candy
