Leaving!

I have to say that I am always amazed and impressed with those of you who can post so many times in a week, because it takes me a long time for most of what I do, sadly I am slow! This tag was actually one of my "quicker" ones as it still took me two hours and then two hours to capture almost decent photos! I am not a photographer by any means or it could be my camera! Anywho, onto my tag which is why you stopped by!
Of course this is based on Tim's "August" 12 Tags of 2013 and it is all about masking! For my tag I pretty much followed the guidelines and did a little masking on masking! And playing along with Inspiration Journal's "My Summer Vacation" which is approaching shortly, I chose the "airplane" as that will be my mode of travel for my mini vacation to visit family and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge for "Air Mail" and I would be the package!
For my background, following Tim's instructions, I used Antique Linen, Old Paper and Bundled Sage, with a splat of Vintage Walnut.  After using Stazon for the Mask, I forgot and used it to ink up my stamps and as you can see, not as good coverage as with the Archival!
I used several stamps sets of Tim's and since I will be flying, thought the little suitcase collection was right in order with the compass pointing North to Portland, OR.

Hope you are having a wonderful week and enjoying your summer vacations or summer at home! Thank you so much for visiting!

Inks: Stazon Black, Archival Coffee, Distress Inks: Walnut Stain, Aged Mahogany, Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo

Your post brought memories of my childhood when there was a song called "Leaving On A Jet Plane". I was so young but it is vivid in my mind - my older cousin (20 years of difference between us) was dating a guy in the RAF and this was their song. Funny as to what can trigger memories. Must search which year this would be.
Anyway - love the colours on your tag and the combination of images and elements.

Terry...this tag is really lovely. I love the collaged stamps. Beautiful job. I also love the maroon matting around the tag...that is such a subtle but effective touch. Beautiful choice of inks to stamp with on that background! Thanks for sharing your tag with us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. <3 Candy

Hello my friend. I love the way your tag turned out. I had to giggle when you wondered how people post so many times in a week. I am the same way it used to take me forever to make a card. But as long as we enjoy the journey that's all that matters.

Hugs~

What a wonderful tag, great depth! I was worried for a moment, and wondered what you were leaving! Thought you might be leaving us! I am like you, I am very slow and then struggle with my camera and am in awe of the prolific crafters out there who have something for us every day.
