Road Trip with AO!

At Artistic Outpost the Blog Hop theme for June is "Americana" and I decided a "Road Trip" was in order using the "Route 66" collection!  You won't want to miss what the rest of the DT has to share:

Gerrie, Lisa, Sue, Tracy, Linda, Alison, Terry (Me), Kate

My tag started with a painted and crackled background, why I have no idea as I was going to cover most of it anyway!  Once I was done with that, I die cut a second tag from tissue paper and cut to various lengths and angles, trimming off a little at edges, so some background would show through. Each tissue piece was stamped with Archival Sepia and shaded with Vintage Stain then glued down.

You can actually see a little of the crackle through the tissue paper.
This old time vehicle reminds me of the cars I learned to drive in! Cars were pretty big back then and perfect size for going to the drive-ins!
Added some dimension with pop ups and embossed the "Route 66" sign and "Road Trip."
Tim's gear fit just perfectly inside of a bottle cap and I added a fairly large washer for a tire, which I thought worked out well!

Hope you enjoyed your "Road Trip" with me and I thank you for stopping by! There is still plenty of time to join in the June Monthly Referral Program, using those most fabulous AO stamps!

Hi Terry, sorry if you end up with 2 posts from me it's because the first disappeared and I have no idea why.

These are fab stamps and you've certainly done them justice. I love the technique of cutting the tissue paper up before applying it and the gear in the bottle top is genius! A fab tag! Have a great day! Chris xxx
