Spooking Around!

No doubt Halloween themed challenges are among my favorites!  There is something about Halloween that just brings out the kid in us or at least for me it does!  That Spooky and Sweet Gal of Studio L-3 is directing us to open Tim's CC2 book to page 50, Distress Markers for challenge #23!  Oh and Mario has some awesome prize for the winner!  WooHoo!  Inspiration Journal October's challenge is looking for Spooktacular Decorations and since this tag will be hanging around on a wall!  You should head over there to take a look at some of the inspirational DT treats!  So Fun!   Lisa's Bloggers Challenge for this week is "Countdown to Halloween," so we are off there!  This will also be linked up to Artist Outpost's "October Referral" challenge!

You know we can't tell you about the technique out of respect for Tim, because you really need the book.  Normally I would use all things Tim, but these stamps from Artist Outpost, were calling out to me for this technique!  The Distress Marker technique was used on the Pumpkin Face (so cool),  the "Skeleton Eyes" prescription and the Bottles!  The background was embossed with Tim's spider web and diffusers and then inked up.   Stamped a few spiders (Distressed Marker) from one of the bottles on the background.  Each one was dotted with a Spica Red glitter pen as was the yellow areas on the Pumpkin Head.  I used a clear glitter pen to highlight the webbing.  After coloring the bottles, I did use a clear embossing pen to over and clear emboss.  The owl is my own embellishment that I made from a mold and colored.  I gave him some glowing green Stickle eyes!

Had fun with this and I hope all of you are enjoying the cooler temperatures.  It finally has dropped to the 80's here, so life is cool.  Thank you so much for stopping by today and have a wonderful finish to the week!

Distress Markers:  Bundled Sage, Mustard Seed, Black, Spiced Marmalade, Milled Lavendar, Brushed Corduroy, Barn Door
Distress Ink:  Dusty Concord, Black Soot, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Antique Linen, Old Paper, Vintage Photo, Shabby Shutters,
Archival:  Coffee
Spica, Red, Yellow, Clear
