Make My Metal Altered at Frilly and Funkie!

We are in week two of the "Make My Metal Altered" at Frilly and Funkie and once again the Funkie side is up to play!  All you have to do is take a piece of metal and alter it, so that is pretty darn easy!  Come on play along and check out the Frilly and Funkie Challenge Blog for more fabulous ideas from the DT!  Linda is offering a $25.00 gift certificate to The Funkie Junkie Boutique and one participant will be honored with the Winner's Badge, so get out those metals and play along!  Will also link this with Simon Says Stamp and Show has a "No Rules" challenge.
For my project, I altered three pieces of metal and used alcohol inks!  The colors I used are Pesto, Bottle, Steam, Silver, Copper and Gold Fixative with Blending Solution.  This color combo was applied and for the heart, I also clear embossed.
The tag background was inked up with Distress inks, embossed with the folder and then the raised areas were highlighted.  Then I sprayed watered several times, blotting with a paper towel and drying in between!  Once I was satisfied with the background, I put a piece of paper over this and sandwiched between my cutting plates to flatten.  There is a little raised area, but not so much that I could not then stamp over it!  I wanted just a little texture!  Stamped a couple of sentiments.  Shaded all edges with Vintage Photo and that was that!
A little company while working in the yard!
Thank you so much for stopping by.  Your visits always make me happy!  Enjoy the rest of the week and come on over and get Funkie!

A cricket in the yard? Looks like it is sunny where you are and I so need some of that on my back. Only 2 weeks to go before we leave the rain.

Embossing, inking, flattening... of course!!! Brill idea! Seems so straightforward but it would never have occurred to me to do this - it works SO well for your background. And that heart is just perfect. Thank you for providing so much inspiration - again!! Hugs, Buttons x
