Gingersnap Creations Challenge #66 Paint

This is a background that was painted using a Tim Holtz technique during one of the CCC's at Linda. I knew that someday I would use it for something and since the "Paint" challenge was coming to a quick close at Gingersnap Creations, I thought I better do something with it! It has five layers of paper which includes the grunge paper. The frame around the sentiment is cut from a Nestie and embossed in clear, but I don't think you can actually see that. That is actual chain that I cut and glued down and hopefully it actually stays in place. Oh, did I say layers?? I guess I can add this over at Simon Says Stamp and Show also!! The butterfly is one I had left over from playing the other day with my Kitchen Sink stamps! The stamps and sentiment are embossed and are Tim Holtz! The colors are much nicer in person. Either they came out dull or too bright??? I am photo incompetent!
Wishing you all a safe and wonderful Labor Day weekend! Thank you for the visit and committing!

This is gorgeous, Terry! Love all the layers and the paint technique. (BTW, I am in the same boat as far as photography - for me, it's just a matter of how the camera and my window decide to treat me that day, LOL!)

It turned out great Terry! I can identify with the photo incompetent thing though. Thankfully cameras are digital now because I wouldn't be able to afford the film with all the retakes I do.
Enjoy the long weekend.

This is a beautiful card! Your mix of cityscape and lone butterfly is ideal to describe the "Live in the Moment" theme! Awesome!

p.s. so, so glad to know that you're photo incompetent ... you can sign me up for that freakin' club!

Whether it is bright or dull does not matter, it is beautiful!!! There is a great sense of impending darkness evoked by this image you put together and that is my most favorite time of day, so it has to be one of my all-time faves!!!

Its gorgeous Terry. If you start a club for incompetent photographers please put my name down, getting the true shades of colours is a nightmare. Annette x

Hi Terry,
they're wonderful, both your cards, I love this city view! And I know what you mean, photographing your cards the way you want them can be soooo difficult! I keep blaming the camera, but more likely it's me, LOL!
Have a great weekend, ~Ira
