Christmas Tag Week #1 2015

Happy Sunday to all of you and hope you have had or are having a great weekend! This year I sure hope to play each of Linda's  "12 Tags of Christmas Funkie Junkie Style" and so I start with Week One! Most of the supplies I used for my tag can be found at The Funkie Junkie Boutique, which is my favorite shopping spot for all my crafty addictions!
I took inspiration from Linda's tag using lots of gold, stenciling and poinsettias! The tag background was sprayed in reds and green using leftovers in the misting tool and then I flicked on some water drops and dried with the heat tool. Using Tim's Holiday Knit Stencil, I gold embossed with VersaMark and gold embossing powder. The poinsettias were cut from the Tattered Poinsettia and movers and shapers, inked in Mowed Lawn and Festive Berries layered up and finished off with a Faceted Acrylic Snowflake which I colored using Watermelon Alcohol Ink.
Shaded the edges with Ground Espresso and distressed and a Merry Christmas from Tim's Mini Holidays!
Thank you for visiting today!

  14. Terry...you go girl! This Christmas tag is awesome! I can't believe that it's already getting to be that time of year again! I, like Linda, love that stencil you used in the background. It is so perfect for that homespun vintage Christmas feeling. Yet you kept the tag fairly simple so as to really let that background shine. Love your poinsettia, too! Oh...and THANK YOU so much for your sweet comment!!

  15. What a beautiful Christmas tag! It's great to see you use the sweater stencil--so inspiring! I have it, and have used it only once. This makes me want to get it out and dust it off. Beautiful vintage colors and a lovely poinsettia! This really puts me in the Christmas mood! Hugs!

  17. What a treat... there's a glow of vintage holiday nostalgia here which is really heart-warming. Terrific take on Linda's first tag - I'll be along to play at some point, but you know me and Christmas crafting - I can't get my head round it until at least November usually!
