Color Burst Fun!

Hello! Recently while I had little Internet and then none, my order of Color Burst from Linda came in and I had some extra playtime! I will be sharing a few projects soon. I got very interested in this when Gerrie had posted a pretty fabulous card using the Color Bursts. Now I am not usually one for the more vibrant colors on my projects, but we need to get out of our comfort zones and here is mine!
For this one, I did spritzed the tag first with water and then applied the color and misted a little more. Next I used a stencil to add a little texture with modeling past. The butterflies were cut using Tim's Movers and Shapers and then stamped in Sky Blue Archival using Stampin Ups French Script background.
I remember those tiny clothespins and thought those would be great for my butterflies in flight!
Had great fun with this stuff and hope you enjoyed my PRETTY post today! Thank you for visiting and now that I am caught up on all my DT posting and projects, off to visit and hopefully the Internet repairs stays!

  2. Love your colors, Terry - I've yet to play with my Color Bursts, but this inspires me to do so soon!! The little butterflies are perfect, flitting over the gorgeous spring colors.....and the texture adds just the right touch! xx Lynn

  3. This is fabulous, love those colours. Adding the little pegs to the butterflies was a great idea. I've just found an unopened packet during the craft room makeover. Hope the Internet repair stays good. I can only blame 'life stuff' for my poor show lately.
    Hugs, Avril xx

  8. Terry...our skies in Missouri have been so gloomy for the past several days that this tag is like a breath of fresh air...SUNNY air! Love it! Your butterflies are so sweet. Love the blended colors of your background. They have a very cool watercolor effect. And...I wanted to thank you for the sweet comments you left on my blog. NEVER apologize for not stopping by. I totally get that life and computer issues happen and delay visiting friend's blogs. Lord, I am the worst about it! :) So...have a great day and thanks for the sunshine and butterflies! <3 Candy

  9. I saw this on FB, and showed it to my GDs. They were so amazed with how you made the butterflies (which, now, they want to make....LOL) They are just learning about modeling paste and stencils, so they were able to spot that technique right away.

I think it is a very pretty tag, and yes, not your usual colors......but you should use them ore often....your very good with them.
