Oh my so much going on the last few weeks, I am just getting in on time to join in with the Curiosity Crew at Studio L3! This CC#3 challenge is all about Distress Glitter and can be found on page 56 in Tim's Compendium of Curiosities III. There is a prize offering from Tim and Mario and The Funkie Junkie Boutique is the sponsor of a generous $25 Gift Certificate! Everyone is a winner, because we all get to play along! OK!
As far as anything involving "Distress Glitter" it is in the book, so if you don't have a copy, you will want to just to join in the challenges. I did decided to combine the current CC#3 challenge with Tim's May Tag of 2014 challenge, so this is a combo tag and all the details can be found there!
Sorry I again did not take a picture of the tag background. I get so carried away that I just forget! Anywho, this was inked with Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn and a little Peeled paint, flicked and dripped water and did some script stamping on the background, shaded with Vintage Photo and then distressed. The background tag has a layer of Distress Glitter around the edges and I used double sided tape for that.
All my tiles were done per Tim's instructions and I used that wonderful Wallflower paper. The first panel with the butterfly also as a slight lattice stenciling on the background. The butterfly was cut from grunge, colored with Salty Ocean, crackled and then stain with Vintage Photo. I like to let my stain stay on a little while as it does some pretty cool soaking into the grunge. After all was done, a little DG was added.
I did not have the die Tim used, so instead decided to carry on with "Distressed Glitter" and the honeycomb die. The same inking and crackle was done. The letters were cut from Tim's Typeset. The background paper leaves were lightly colored with Peeled Paint.
A little script stamping behind the stars! I just recently purchased the arrow set, so I was quite happy to be able to add it.
Well this tag was great fun to play with and arrange all those tiles and add a little glitter here and there! Really not a fan of glitter, but at least the Distress Glitter does not stick to everything and living in the desert with dry air, oh does it float around! Thank you for visiting me today and I hope you are having a wonderful day!
That's an absolutely beautiful tag Terry!!!
