Spring Is In The Air!

"Spring Is In The Air" is the newest challenge at the Fashionable Stamping Challenges blog, so come on and join us in celebrating that breath of Spring Air we all so eagerly await!  Oh my DT sisters have some really gorgeous creations to put you in the mood, so stop on by FSC and have a look and join in all the fun!  Don't forget there is always a little prize and you never know when you will get caught in the Spotlight!
I don't believe I have ever used this older stamp from Stampin Up.  This little bird perched on her flowering branch is what Spring is all about.  The birds coming out to play and gathering findings for nesting material, flowers and bulbs in bloom and longer days is the best time of year!

This large image was stamped using Stazon Timber Brown and then clear embossed.  I used a soft pallet of Stampin Up chalks for color on most of the image.  Did use Certainly Celery and Yellow for the bird and vine stems.  After I was done coloring, I gave a quick spray of Matte Sealer to keep the chalks in place.  Distressed edges and inked with Distress Vintage Photo.  I really did not want to add any embellishments as I just love this image!

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.  I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

  38. Ah Terry, what a sweet and truly Springlike card! I love the colors you chose!

Thanks, too, for mentioning the matte sealer for chalks ... I bought chalks some time back because they looked so cool and then never used them except testing because ... they go EVERYWHERE. Oops. :)
