Today we are at The Play Date Cafe PDCC51 and just in time, I might add! Some of us, not you, lose track of time and think there are more days in a week! The colors we are playing with are Beige, Pale Blue and Pale Mint - ish green! My colors are more to the challenge colors in real life, but I think we all know what cameras do to color! BTW we are having some incredible storms here today and I mean thunder and lightning like I have not seen. It started last night and it scared our Molly, who decided to sleep right in the middle! That is ok, because I was not going to sleep with that noise anyway!
Now we have the new CCC18 challenge happening over at Studio L3. Again being queen idiot is a tough job and I obviously enjoy it. I cut out four piece of card stock and all four pieces failed this test miserably! Some of the resist showed up, but most was just happy to fade into the background. I used a more detailed stamp and then gave up. So we moved on to the tag, thinking maybe cardstock was the problem. We also moved onto a different stamp with a little less detail and surface area. This is what we now have! Oh the butterflies were cut and embossed with a Stampin Up die from the original mishaps and then highlighted! Now are they not worth the wasting of an entire sheet of cardstock, time and ink and very sore arms? Don't answer that one! The flourish is Impression Obsession. The "Whatever" and I think we know why I used that one, is from Hero Arts.
Simon Says Stamp and Show's challenge this week is anything but cards, so we are off to show there as well!
Have a most happy evening and many thanks for stopping by.

Beautiful Tag Terry, does Molly sleep in your bed? Try it when the storms get too bad. Bandit loves it, and we don't get up with him all night.

ReplyDeleteVery pretty!!
ReplyDelete:)
Terry, I love this, and let me count the ways: I love the resist (and would never know it had vexed you-- it turned out great!). I also love the butterflies, the pretty colors and the cool dimensional flower. But most of all, I love the sassy-pants "WHATEVER" at the bottom of this otherwise sweet tag. Girlfriend, I like your style!
ReplyDeleteAnd hey, NOBODY gets to call my friend an idiot. "Queen," yes. But not "idiot." :-)
Well it was worth all the work Terry, your tag is so soft and beautiful and I love your blending and the scroll stamp, very delicate. I had the same problems with this technique and on mine there are places where I couldn't get the ink off the resist :). Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteYour tag us just beautiful!! I love the simplicity and softness of the colors and butterflies! I had wondered about the cardstock..so I went straight to the tag..was too short of time! LOL!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Thanks for playing along with Simon Says Stamp & Show challenge blog.
ReplyDeleteAmazing save!!! I am so impressed that the butterflies were part of the original failed cardstock background. They are so beautiful. The tag itself is gorgeous the way the colors blend into each other.
ReplyDeleteSuch a delicate look colours are beautiful together and the technique is great.
