Compendium of Curiosities Challenge 11 / Simon Says Stamp and Blog - Tim Holtz

This challenge combo is for Studio L3 and Simon Says Stamp and Show. Our "Leader of the Pack" (that would be Linda) has taken us to page 36 of the Compendium of Curiosities and we are doing "Blended Batik." Now SSSS has us with the theme of "Anything... Lord Tim of Holtz" inspired. So you can see why I thought I would make this a double duty combo take! The only thing not "Tim" would be the pearls, button and ribbon. The sentiment is a actual magnet. These were made with someone in mind who is currently going through her own challenge. It was my hope to encourage some positive thought. I hope it works in more ways than one!

It is always my pleasure to have you visit and comment on my blog. And a huge thank you to those who decide to follow. It is always so exciting to see a new face!

  15. love this Tim tag....beautiful work! Back to the subject of dogs...too funny about the photos we take. I found one of my boxer at a couple months old on my studio chair. When she was a pup I used to put her in the chair behind me while I created and she learned to sleep back there! LOL! the things we do to keep the dog at bay! Have a great Wednesday!

  32. Terry, what a beautiful, inspiring work of art! You know, I've always thought I needed to use fairly intense colors for this technique, but thanks to you, I see that I was wrong about that. The soft tones look AMAZING, and the blended batik is just perfect. How clever to create a magnet, and I know this piece will mean so much to its recipient.

    Wonderful art, sweet lady!

  47. I think that the blended batik technique is my favorite of all of them and the one that I use the most. You have done a great job here! I am definately going to get a better look at your blog this time around. I love your work.

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving the comment about 9/11. I hope that you were able to see my creative spirit challenge as well. I was mixed about whether I should continue to post or wait till challenge was over.

    Thanks again~ Sherry
