Compendium of Curiosities Challenge Week Four
Linda at Studio L3 selected "Shabby Chic" for this week and what a fun technique! I have never played with the paint daubers, so I cracked open a couple of bottles. My color selection is limited in the daubers. The stamps I used are from Stampin Up, the new Elements of Style. I used Twinkling H2O's on the flowers and leaves. The Hummingbird was cut out and I was so afraid that I would remove the beak!
I did with one sample use some of my acrylic paints to make a sky and used Tim Holtz stamp. This was really cool to me how the sky came out!

ReplyDeleteTerry, both of these are awesome! I agree-- the Shabby Chic effect makes a gorgeous sky (and I LOVE that skyline stamp-- it's one of my favorites!). The hummingbird card is equally lovely, and I really like the additional color wash over the flowers and leaves.

ReplyDeleteTerry I Love the hummingbird and flowers and the sky is very real looking. If you ever cut off a beak or something small you can always draw it in with a maker! no worries!
