CC#3C - Assemblage Clock

Linda and the talented Curiosity Crew wanted us to think outside the box for Challenge #10, "Assemblage Clock" in that fabulous Compendium of Curiosities III book by Tim Holtz and so I did! The Funkie Junkie Boutique is the wonderful sponsor this week of a $25 shopping spree and there is always a chance to win a prize from Tim and Mario as well, so that is pretty nice!
This is my first time working with the Assemblage Clock and I had just a little fun trying to figure out what to add, did not want to add too much or too little.

We did have a slight battle with the skeleton as when I replaced the arms with metal wings, it became quite top heavy.
I cut a piece of foam from those Texture Trades to brace the back and so far all is standing up to the challenge! In advance I will apologize for any specks or lint you may see on the glass as living in the windy desert with dry air, glass is like a magnet! OK!

After I covered the clock twice with gesso, I painted first with the Pansy, dry brushed on Quinacridone Gold, crackle and then when dry inked over with Distress Black Soot. Applied a spray of sealer and then matt varnish. The handle, legs, etc., were treated with alcohol inks, a wash of paint thinned with Blending Solution and dry brushed with QG. A few highlights with Treasure Gold White Fire was applied here and there as well.
The back inset panel was cut from Tim's Laboratorie paper, embossed with his web, toned down a bit with thinned gesso and then highlighted. A bit of trim was added and then I did glue down some extra bones before putting it all together! Paint, Stickles and Treasure gold was added to various bits!

Will be linking this up to Inspiration Journal's "Fall is in the Air" challenge for September. Thank you all for stopping by today and taking the time to comment. Hope you are enjoying the end of Summer!
