Compendium of Curiosities Challenge Week Two

Ok, so we played with Fragments over at Studio L3 and am not sure how we feel about those!  After I started with one piece, I was determined to build around it.  My feeling is that I should have quit and attempted another look!!  Since it is Friday and I won't have time over the weekend to play - it is what it is!

The background (one from paper and backed with chipboard) is from the Technique Junkies current newsletter "Faux Metal."  I did highlight the embossed areas with Opalites, one of my favorites inks for that purpose.  Not sure if the highlighted areas will show up, because they are subtle. Used three of Tim Holtz Dies, one TH and one Cuttlebug embossing folders.  The paper behind the fragments are from TH Lost and Found!  "Fly" is from Innovative Stamp Creations.

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Terry, I think it turned out spectacularly! I'd hang this on my wall in a heartbeat. It's beautiful and so well designed. The Fragments look awesome!

Yours it the third or fourth absolutely gorgeous piece I've seen this week using that Faux Metal technique, and I have GOT to try it! I love the look.

Thanks for playing the CCC #2! See you on Monday for the next round, yes??

    Hugs,
    Linda
